Coordinator Construction (Crookwell)

About the role
Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure Delivery you will be responsible with overseeing activities and resources within Council's construction teams at Crookwell to achieve Council activities within the Operational Plans, alongside associated infrastructure.
Your expertise will be crucial in meeting legislative and procedural obligations/requirements while working collaboratively with our dedicated team, guiding them to ensure work is efficiently and safely delivered in accordance with Council's works program.
- Crookwell - 38 hours a week
- RDO per fortnight
- Hourly rate starts at $44.92 (gross) + superannuation (Grade 14 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government State Award)

Responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising the infrastructure delivery team members through training and feedback, to encourage and develop internal capabilities.
- Collecting, collating and providing information for reporting, and producing accurate and timely reports as required;
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the designated work crews including but not limited to construction of rural roads, urban streets, bridges, drainage, kerb and gutter, and paths.
- Coordinate work programs and plans, including job costings, to deliver the principal activities of the Operational and Capital Works Plans to meet organisational priorities.
- Assist in the preparation of Council's works programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and organisation requirements.
Who are we looking for?
A motivated and enthusiastic person who has Contemporary knowledge of road construction principles and practices, and demonstrated experience in the construction of rural roads, urban streets, drainage and bridges.
You have the ability to coordinate multiple crews, plant and other resources across various work sites.
You are experienced in delivering excellence through your team, you are confident in achieving targets and meeting deadlines.
You have exceptional communication skills and a track record of leading and supporting staff.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in civil construction, local government (operational works) or a related discipline with demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development to support contemporary knowledge.
- Contemporary knowledge of road construction principles and practices, and demonstrated experience in the construction of rural roads, urban streets, drainage and bridges.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple crews, plant and other resources across various work sites.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing and negotiation; research and information analysis, and report writing to facilitate understanding and/or decision-making.
- Proven track record in leading, supervising and motivating a team with a commitment to a high standard of performance.
- Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
