Upper Lachlan Shire Council has an opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as Senior Assets Officer
Reporting to the Manager Assets, you will be responsible for the asset management systems and strategies for council infrastructure assets team.
You will assist with capital work projects & developer gifted assets to determine asset information for financial capitalisation & recognition.

The Role

- Assisting in the implementing and maintenance of Council's Strategic Asset Management Plan including how this integrates to the Long-Term Financial Plan.
- Lead and develop an up-to date asset register, including review of asset segmentation, componentisation and attributes.
- Assist in the development, planning and programming of Council's Works Program and associated financial plan;
- Work closely with the Manager on principal activities of the Delivery Program and Operational Plan into plans, programs and projects to achieve identified key performance indicators (KPIs).
About You
- You obtain qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline with contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development to support contemporary knowledge.
- You have the ability to interpret and analyse engineering drawings, GIS and its application in infrastructure asset management.
- You have contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience in local government infrastructure asset management processes, procedures and practices.
- You have the ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve fit-for-purpose outcomes that drive the achievement of strategic goals
- Your exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are second to none; and;
- You have a Current Class C Drivers Licence

This position is Grade 13 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government (State) Award 2023. Council offers an attractive salary package, that is dependent upon skills, qualifications and experience of an applicant, with a 3.5% Civil liability (for engineers only), plus 12% superannuation.
